An old quote goes like this waste not, want not. Most of us do not think about the poor people going to bed hungry without even a morsel of food while we waste our food. According to the recent survey by IFDC , the food wastage in developed countries is about 750 to 1500 calories while in the developing countries, it is about 400 to 500.in fact the food that is wasted in Africa these days can feed about 300 million people. The food wastage occurs during the processing stage. IFDC plays a key role in connecting the farmers with knowledgeable partners to reduce the food wastage.
