In the present busy world, many people are neglecting sleep. But, sleep is an important part of our life. We spend nearly 1/3rd of our life sleeping. It helps in improving our concentration levels, memory, overall mental and physical health.
How Much Sleep Does We Need
On an average, an adult should have 7 to 8 hours of sleep in a day for keeping our body active and healthy. When it comes to newborn babies, they should have a sleep of 17 hours in a day. And regarding older kids, they should sleep for 9 to 10 hours in a day.
But, in reality many people are sleeping for lesser time than the required amount. Among such people, people of Japan comes in first place with 69% of resident are getting a sleep of less than 7 hours.
2nd place is taken by US with nearly 53% of resident are sleeping for less than 7 hours. And of about 39% to 29% of people from UK, Germany, Canada, and Mexico are not getting enough sleep.
